I still haven't finished my paper edit transfer stuff. I really should have finished it a few days ago. The personal matter that took over my life kind of got in the way of that. But I'm determined to finish the edits today. I've only got about 9 pages to go, so it shouldn't take me long. But as I mentioned a while back, I have had to do a bit of rewriting so it's taken more effort than it otherwise would have.
Last night I stayed over at a friend's for a girls' night and we watched LEGALLY BLONDE. This morning, though, we watched DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN, a film straight outta my youth. I was 5 when it came out. Maybe 4. Depends on when in 1985 it was released. Madonna was just so damn cool in this movie! What a trendsetter. She still is that, I guess, but I admit I'm not a huge fan of her more recent work. Old school Madonna is where it's at.
This post doesn't have one central theme, as you can see. And that's another thing I'm perfectly at ease with. I hope everyone has had a great weekend!
Glad your feeling better now and that you're psyched for NaNo. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!
ReplyDeleteHi Trisha. Sorry to hear of your disappointment, but I'm sure you'll dust yourself off and get into it again! Glad you're doing NaNo. I do it every year, I'm a total NaNo freak. Been trying to make a clean sweep of everything but stuff just keeps piling up!
ReplyDeleteLet's have at it all right my girl! Here's to thousands of new novels before December!
Denise
Sorry you had a rough weekend. Hope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteYaY Nano!!
Thanks guys... It'll take a while, but I've been in a similar place before so I know I will feel better eventually. Bah!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments!
Sometimes you just have to have a new goal; a new place to jump off from. Best of luck for NaNoWriMo!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your bad weekend. Good luck with your NaNo! I'm rather excited myself about NaNoWriMo this year. And I think I should watch "Desperately Seeking Susan". Sounds like the story of Catrina's life, you know. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your edits--and NaNo! :)
@Julie - my new goal is going to have to be being happy without a man! LOL.
ReplyDelete@Michael - thank you! I'm excited too, and trying to be more so after that weekend I just had!
@Golden Eagle - thank you, at least I can say I got the edits done!!!
Good luck with NaNo. I loved Desperately Seeking Susan! I may have to dig that one up and watch it myself.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with NaNoWriMo. If you think a picture of two Galapagos tortoises having slow and awkward sex would cheer you up, head over to my blog...
ReplyDelete@Kari Marie - it's a very awesome movie. I always forget that it was actually really funny, until I watch it again. Plus the character of Dez is super sexy in an 80s way. hehe
ReplyDelete@Dan - why thanks, that sounds very intriguing. LOL. pssst. gonna check it out, don't tell anyone. hehe
