About

My friend Joni Warden did this picture of me in 2011 - pretty cool huh?

Hello, and welcome to my spot on the blogosphere. Did I mention I really dislike the word "blog"? But anyway, moving on...

I started this blog on December 1st 2010, with the intention of chronicling my writing experiences and meeting other writers doing the same thing. Since then I've found some amazing fellow writers who inspire me every day. I try to do the same for them. I am a bit of a lazy blogger, in that I don't have blogfests or contests or any of that, but I do love to participate in all of yours, so I'll selfishly ask that you keep 'em coming!

About me...? I've been writing for most of my life, but only recently have I begun to take the craft more seriously. I am pretty happy with what achievements I've enjoyed so far, but I am excited to see where I go from here.

I don't confine myself to writing or reading in one particular genre. So far I have explored science fiction and fantasy, romance, family drama, young adult fiction and non-fiction/memoir. Most recently I've added science-fantasy and paranormal to that list! My general motto is: anything goes, and bring on the new!!

Other things I love are cats, travelling, food, wine (champagne and beer and Bailey's are nice too!), doing fine art, and singing/playing guitar. My band also has a CD out, and my bandmate's band will release a CD later this year (see STORIES + songs for more info).

Meeting new people is a pretty good deal, so if you want to say hi please do!

Finally, if you want to get to know me a little better, check out these interviews I did with J.C. Martin and Sari Webb.

Then there is "vlog", which sounds sort of visigoth...
