A to Z ~ Guilty Pleasures

This year my A to Z theme harks back to 2012's theme, in which I listed an A-to-Z of books from my GoodReads "TBR" shelf. This year I want to revisit that list and report on which ones I've read, and what rating I gave them. Where the book hasn't been read, I'll mention other books starting with that letter I have read since 2012. ;)

"G" ... GUILTY PLEASURES
Status: Not Read

"G" books I have read:

Game On (Game On #1) - Kyra Lennon. 4 stars.
Girl With a Pearl Earring - Tracy Chevalier. 5 stars.
Gone - Jennifer Mills. 4 stars.

Some other "G" books still on my TBR:

Geek Girl - Cindy C. Bennett.
Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the - Stieg Larsson.
Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell.
Gravity: The Complete Trilogy - Cherie Reich.

  1. Haven't read any of these. A couple good G books come to mind: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Geek Love by Katherine Dunn.

    1. I think Gone Girl might already be on my list - but I try not to list too many in each post. Will check out Geek Love as well, not sure if that's on my list already.

  2. Wish I could say I read one of those, but I did read The Giver. That counts as a G book, right? :)

  3. Cherie's trilogy is a really fun read! And I agree with David that The Giver counts as a G book, and it's one of my many all-time faves.

  4. I have another G book for you. . . Gone Girl. It's different, dark, and . . . different. haha

I have Gone with the Wind and plan to read it one day. :)

    1. I think it's already on my list, but will double check. :)

I only just recently saw GWTW the movie, which I loved. So I figure I should get around to reading the book as well.

  5. I do love Gone with the Wind. I am, apparently, the only person on the face of the planet who did not enjoy Gone Girl. Well, I never have been trendy . . .

  13. I absolutely loved Gone with the Wind...and you must read Scarlett (the sequel) if you haven't. I liked that a bit better than the first. ♥

    1. I think that's on my list already. I wonder if it was you who posted about it on your blog (that prompted me to add it, some time ago), or someone else?

  14. Guilty Pleasures is good urban fantasy. It's the later books in the Anita Blake series that aren't so great.

  15. The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy

  18. Visiting from A/Z; cute theme you are doing! I do hope you read Gone with the Wind some day; absolutely loved it when I read it the summer of my 13th year.

Good luck with the rest of the challenge!

  20. loved both Girl with the Pearl Earring and Gone with the Wind. I've read Gone with the Wind several times, but not in the past two decades . . . I just might have to pull it out again.
