This year my A to Z theme harks back to 2012's theme, in which I listed an A-to-Z of books from my GoodReads "TBR" shelf. This year I want to revisit that list and report on which ones I've read, and what rating I gave them. Where the book hasn't been read, I'll mention other books starting with that letter I have read since 2012. ;)
"A" ... THE ANATOMY OF WINGS
Status: Not Read
Aberration - Lisa Regan. 4 stars.
Accidental Diva, the - Tia Williams. 3 stars.
Almost Girl, the - Amalie Howard. 4 stars.
American Girl on Saturn (Saturn, #1) - Nikki Godwin. 4 stars.
At Swim-Two-Birds - Flann O'Brien. 5 stars.
That could've been my theme - I have so many books on my list.
ReplyDeleteCool you did read Lisa's book!
What a great way to help spread the word about books! Great theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog, www.findingeliza "Anatomy of Wings" cover looks sort of depressing.
ReplyDeleteThis a cool way for me to find books I might not have heard of! :D
ReplyDeleteFunny how our TBR lists get mixed up when a cool book comes by. It's like choosing desserts. . .I keep getting sidetracked by ebooks that are interesting and library books I find. . .
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing more about books. . .
I agree with Kristin that the cover of "The Anatomy of Wings" is depressing, but that always intrigues me. ;) I haven't read this book either, so I'll have to read the blurb to find out what it's about. :) Thanks for sharing, Trisha!
ReplyDeleteHi Trisha .. I haven't read any of these .. but am always happy to be guided .. I like the cover of Anatomy of WIngs, but agree it looks kind of depressing ...
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
This makes me wonder how many "A" books are in my read or to read list. Hm.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I know I'll be adding books to my own list now thanks to your theme.
ReplyDeleteI read Lisa's book too - she's great.
That's a very interesting cover. The face reminds me of a Picasso painting.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!
ReplyDeleteI've read Abberation. That's the only one on the list.
Trisha-
ReplyDeleteMy "to read" pile grows at a much faster rate than my "finished" pile.
Up until about ten years ago, I still had every book I'd ever owned. My mother's mantra was always "Never get rid of a book," but it was getting ridiculous.
When I boxed them up to take to a charity, a friend told me to keep them, I might want to read them again.
I asked her, "when?"
Her answer-"when you retire."
I showed her my "to read" pile, and told her that new books were going to still be published after I retire.
To make a long comment short...you will always have books waiting to be read. Just like there will always be e-mail in your inbox.
You could do this theme every year just to see how the list has changed!

Aha, I love this theme! I'm actually doing the same one on my blog! Books rule and blogging about the ones you've read are the best ways to entertain other bookworms out there! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great theme! I haven't read any of your A's! Can't wait to see the rest of the letters.
ReplyDeleteNew follow via GFC. I'm doing the A to Z challenge, too!
