A to Z 2015 - "A" Photos

I remembered!

It's April 1st, and that means a few things, but MOST importantly it means that the A to Z Blogging Challenge has kicked off for another year! I love this year's badge, which is a tribute to Tina from Life is Good, who passed away far too soon last year. Every time I see that badge during April I will be thinking of her.

I decided (last minute, as usual) to do a photography theme this year. For my letter A, I chose "Abstract", and here are some photos that fit that bill, at least in my mind:

Abstract

(I probably won't always post this many photos for each letter.)

  1. I love that one of the tree through the rainy window. That's lovely!

Good luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

  4. Wow, those are good! Looks like most were done with raindrops.

  5. Very nice! I like the watery theme. It's like a submerged world.

  6. Like the third one down, it reminds me of trying on someone elses bifocals and trying to look at life. :) Cat lover too by the way.

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love that you chose Abstract for A. Are your first 2 shots from a car wash? I love that. Really all of the water on window ones are so appealing. Looking forward to seeing what else you post.

    1. Yes, those first 3 are in a car wash :) I seem to always get my camera out whenever I go through that thing. hehe

But I do love taking pics of raindrops on windows too. I guess you could say I'm obsessed! Probably helps that I love and crave rain, and we don't get enough of it where I live. ;)

  11. Ohh! Neat theme, Trisha. :) Actually I have you to thank for cluing me into A TO Z. I first saw it on your blog last year. So...thank you. ^^

Are you taking these pictures yourself? Abstract photography, film and art have always elicited mixed feelings in me. On the one hand I can appreciate the simplicity of the image and the complexity of the multitudes of opinions the image can generate from viewers.

But sometimes I just don't get what I should be feeling. :)

    1. Hi there - yes, these are my photos. :)

I usually find abstract art itself to be annoying and sometimes a bit too 'cool for school', I guess. But for some reason I am fascinated by taking photos of things that are just bright colours, interesting patterns, close ups of plants/flowers, raindrops, etc. But I want it to look attractive.
