A to Z 2015 - "J" Photos

We're at Day #10 of the A-to-Z challenge, and the letter of the day is J! I had a hard time coming up with a theme, so I decided to just show photos from my 2004 whirlwind visit to...

Japan

  4. I enjoyed looking at these. I'm a fan of Japanese culture, which reminds me I haven't read a novel set in that country in a long time.

  5. Ha. I'm learning Japanese right now. :) I should say I've been learning Japanese for the past few years, though more seriously since 2014.

One of the things I love about Japan is the architecture. The mix of the modern and the ancient buildings of temples and castles. You captured these really well with the photos.

*The fifth photo down, the one with the bridge, is absolutely stunning! It's giving me inspiration to write.

  14. Yay! I found your blog! It looks like you had a lovely time. I love the manholes, too! They're different in every city. :)

Looks like you got a fair amount of rain when you came... what month did you travel? April? October?
