I remembered!
It's April 1st, and that means a few things, but MOST importantly it means that the A to Z Blogging Challenge has kicked off for another year! I love this year's badge, which is a tribute to Tina from Life is Good, who passed away far too soon last year. Every time I see that badge during April I will be thinking of her.
I decided (last minute, as usual) to do a photography theme this year. For my letter A, I chose "Abstract", and here are some photos that fit that bill, at least in my mind:
Abstract
(I probably won't always post this many photos for each letter.)
I love that one of the tree through the rainy window. That's lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

I enjoyed browsing through your abstract photos... nice work! You have a great eye for finding the artistic in everyday places....
ReplyDeleteGlad to meet you through the A to Z Challenge today!
It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are good! Looks like most were done with raindrops.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I like the watery theme. It's like a submerged world.
ReplyDeleteLike the third one down, it reminds me of trying on someone elses bifocals and trying to look at life. :) Cat lover too by the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I love that you chose Abstract for A. Are your first 2 shots from a car wash? I love that. Really all of the water on window ones are so appealing. Looking forward to seeing what else you post.
ReplyDeleteYes, those first 3 are in a car wash :) I seem to always get my camera out whenever I go through that thing. hehe
DeleteBut I do love taking pics of raindrops on windows too. I guess you could say I'm obsessed! Probably helps that I love and crave rain, and we don't get enough of it where I live. ;)
Hi Trisha .. I particularly like the first three - not sure why .. but rain does distort and give us new perspectives .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteI do love that they dedicated this year's challenge to Tina.
What great photos! Love the abstractness of the shots. Great start to the month.
ReplyDeleteOhh! Neat theme, Trisha. :) Actually I have you to thank for cluing me into A TO Z. I first saw it on your blog last year. So...thank you. ^^
ReplyDeleteAre you taking these pictures yourself? Abstract photography, film and art have always elicited mixed feelings in me. On the one hand I can appreciate the simplicity of the image and the complexity of the multitudes of opinions the image can generate from viewers.
But sometimes I just don't get what I should be feeling. :)
Hi there - yes, these are my photos. :)
DeleteI usually find abstract art itself to be annoying and sometimes a bit too 'cool for school', I guess. But for some reason I am fascinated by taking photos of things that are just bright colours, interesting patterns, close ups of plants/flowers, raindrops, etc. But I want it to look attractive.
Great photos! Trying my best to get round all the bloggers who are focusing on photography during the month long Challenge. I'll be back to see what's next for sure.

I love using abstract photos for backgrounds on all my devices! I'll have to consider that second one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by everyone! :) I've just visited all your blogs too.
ReplyDeleteThose are abstract. I love the rainy look.
ReplyDeleteSomething about rainy photos grabs your attention. Thanks for sharing! http://stephaniesstuff84.blogspot.com/
