NaNo day #20

It's Sunday, and I have done my word count quota for the day. I currently sit at 67,332 across both novels. I really love the VICTORIOUS story, but it has been slightly like sitting around waiting for grass to grow, getting these words out. At least I'm getting them out. What I'll have to work with at the end of this are some novels in dire need of editing. But that's what I expected all along.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!!

P.S. I'm listening to The 69 Eyes. They're good fun.

  1. Ugh, I just hit 55k a bit ago. I still have about an hour and a half. I'm hoping to make headway. Going to be so glad when Thanksgiving Break gets here!

  5. Yes. The editing.
I have LOADS of projects in need of that, too.

  6. Congrats on the word-count. It'll leave you at a great place by month's end, ready to move on to the next stage editing :)

  7. At the end of this month I will need to read through/edit another novel of mine...and maybe finish up both November's novels as neither will be finished at month's end, I'm guessing. Ahhh, the to-do list never gets shorter!

  8. I haven't listened to the 69 Eyes in forever! Love that Gothic Glam metal. And how can you not love a guy named Jyrki? I will be digging out Gothic Girl tonight.

  9. You've already met NaNo's challenge? Wow! And I can remember really struggling to get to 50,000 by the end of the month last year. Well done to you!

  10. I don't know the 69 eyes. I'll have to look them up. Congratulations on getting all those words down. The editing worries are for later. Just keep enjoying the flow!

  11. @Julie - so true, it's all in a name sometimes. hehe. The 69 Eyes seem slightly hit & miss for me, I love some of their songs but others are a bit ordinary. Still, I haven't given them heaps of listening time yet.

@C D - the official challenge, yes, but not my own challenge that I set myself. hehe

@Ruth - you could start with songs like "Wasting the Dawn", "Sister of Charity" and "You Ain't the Reason" - my personal faves.

  12. You are a writing machine, wow! How long do you write for each day? I need to learn this skill (and discipline).
