Consider yourself FOLLOWED! and some other stuff

Guess what?!?! I actually finished following every participant in Rachael Harrie's Writer's Platform-Building Crusade! I hear you gasp in wonder. I see you gape in astonishment. I also see you're lost for words. That's okay though, I've got a few more to share!

There ARE (I will admit) a few people who I have not yet followed. Why? Because there was no apparent way of following them, save developing a psychic ability that will give me mental alerts when they've posted something new...oh, and that will transmit the (psychically divined) URL from my brain into my browser's address field and will automatically refresh said browser so that said URL gets visited. And therefore said blog entry gets visited. Alas, my brain isn't quite that special. So if I left you a comment asking how I can go about following you, you're one of those I'm talking about. Unless I left you a follow-up comment saying "A-ha! I figured it out!"

Other than that...I did really enjoy doing the first challenge, and it's fun seeing what people think I'm lying about. It is indeed a good way of getting to know our fellow Crusaders, and I look forward to hearing what everyone's lies were. Hehe.

But now onto other news...(well, not news for everyone, just for the newcomers :D):

The Chrysalis Experiment is a project my critiquing buddies and I have undertaken this year - the aim is to write one short story per week for all of 2011. Similar to Write1Sub1, it's just a little different because our immediate aim is not publication, but experimentation. Indeed, that's the name of the game.

And that about wraps it up, I think. :)

Anyway, to all my new followers - hi! :D

  1. I know what you're talking about. A few people have followed me that I don't know how to contact. I can't find a blog link on their profile page, and there's no followers list. I've done the email thing for a couple. I suppose it'll work out eventually...somehow. It's been good to meet so many other writers, some of whom are quite funny. Wishing you much success with your Chrysalis experiment.

  3. What? There's going to be people I can't follow? So you're telling me I'm going to be running around trying to find a follow button when there isn't one? I'm going to need more chocolate. . .

  4. Trisha, it's nice meeting you too! It's been fun visiting other blogs and getting to know other writers out there. I felt bad when I couldn't figure out how to follow other blogs :-(

  5. I am TOTALLY impressed you've gotten through everyone! I am only about half way there. And I agree with the difficulty. At the moment I have EVERYONE in a spreadsheet and I will try to hit all the blogs a couple times, but it would be easier if everyone had a follow button.

  6. I've only worked my way through I think 80 or so of the 216 at this point. How did you do it so quickly? /sigh. I've set a goal to do like twenty more today I think.

  8. I've finished getting around to everyone as well--I signed up for email alerts for many of them, at least the ones who have subscription things on their sidebars. (I have one, too, for other bloggers.)

  11. Nice job. I'm working on it but with an internet connection that works when the wind doesn't blow and a, let's say "mature" computer it takes a little while. Hope to see you around.

  12. Well, I must confess that I didn't comment on everyone's blog as I followed them - in the end I just wound up clicking and running. lol. But yeah, I spent most of my Saturday following people, and had already spent the days before that doing a bit when I could. It's a real relief to be done! and I'm glad there was a cut-off so we're not constantly seeing the list expand. :D

Nice to see you all here! Good luck with your following, those who aren't done yet ;) L.A., sounds like you've got a hard slog ahead. Hang in there! :D
