The A-to-Z blogging challenge of 2013 is going on, and today we're up to "F". My theme for 2013 is an A-to-Z list of classic Aussie tunes - either classic or just plain songs I like. For today's song I've chosen:
Eskimo Joe are another band from my hometown who have done fairly well nation-wide. Their biggest hit to date has been "Black Fingernails, Red Wine", though I still kind of think of them as they were when their first single, "Sweater", was released back in the 90s. I'm not really a huge fan of this band, to be honest, but I think this song is great. And not just 'cause it's meant to be a homage to the "Freo Doctor".
Honourable mentions:
- Face Down by Ammonia
- Feels Like A Demon, Friends in Danger & For A Second by Magic Dirt
- Flame Trees by Cold Chisel
- Famous by Jessica Bell
- Foreign Lover by Stonefield (originally Iotah)
- Forever And a Day by the Dissociatives
- Freefall by Motor Ace
- Fucken Awesome by Spiderbait (original vid avec censored lyrics)
- Furious by Fini Scad
