Editing ctd., sort of (and foster kitty)

Since my last update, I've done a bit more editing - but since the weekend began, I haven't done any. Tonight I hope to get some more done, but I had a terrible night's sleep last night, with kitty rescue "stuff to do" pestering my mind, so I guess we'll see. :P

This morning while I was trying to get back to sleep after two hours awake and tinkering with said "to do stuff", one of my foster kitties, Maurizio, decided it was time to play his new favourite game - Tug on the Bit of Carpet That Isn't Meant to be Lifting But Is! It's an awesome game, sure, but at around 5:30 am on very little sleep I wasn't as in the mood for it as I usually might be! So I got my kitty spray bottle ready for the next time he started up with his tugging.

Of course he somehow sensed this was going on, because he quit the game immediately. But not wanting to encourage a later continuation, I locked him and the other fosters out of my room anyway, and managed maybe 40 minutes more sleep before my alarm went off.

So that's where I'm at today - sleep deprived, but reasonably happy I guess. And I have chocolate in my drawer here at work - I can tell you right now I won't be waiting till Chocolate Friday to crack that open (it's only Wednesday).

Maurizio, my stunning foster boy.

  1. I think chocolate helps with most things, Trisha! Little Maurizio looks so sweet. My hubby just saw the last photo and said he was the cutest kitty! I do hope that you got some good work in tonight. Take care.

    1. He sure is a beautiful kitty - and yes, he's cute, but when you're not giving him enough attention, he can play a bit rough trying to make you pay attention. :P

      Thanks for the visit :)

  2. I'm sorry!
Why is it cats want to get into things in the middle of the night?

    1. I guess it's just the most convenient time to do so - in their minds! hehe

  3. Your foster kitty is adorable. I have four that I rescued. They are over two years old now, so they don't get into as much trouble anymore. Thank goodness! haha

    1. He's quite the stunner. Don't doubt he will be adopted quickly once he's properly advertised.

  5. I don't want to imagine the kinds of sleep deprivation which go into raising or fostering baby animals. The only baby I have is my spider plant Kalanit, who's coming up on 15 years old.

Cats definitely have minds of their own. It's not for nothing that people often joke about how they have God complexes.

    1. That is impressive - I would have killed that plant long ago. hehe

Fostering really young kittens is hard work - and not just 'cause of the toilet training requirements. You end up pretty worn out from trying to keep track of them. :P

  6. Oh, I'm impressed that you are fostering a cat. I have two dogs, and sometimes they are a needy handful, and other times, they are simply delightful. Hang in there! :)

    1. I've had foster kitties that were very needy - it was hard work. ;) I do like my personal space. haha
