For 2012's A-Z challenge, I'm doing an A-Z list of books I haven't yet read but want to read (titles taken from my TBR shelf at GoodReads). For my book starting with D I've chosen...
Death on the Nile - Agatha Christie
Poirot, on vacation in Africa, meets the rich, beautiful Linnet Doyle and her new husband, Simon. As usual, all is not as it seems between the newlyweds, and when Linnet is found murdered, Poirot must sort through a boatload of suspects to find the killer before he (or she) strikes again.
Why do I want to read it? I've never read ANY Agatha Christie, and it's definitely something I intend to do before I die. ;)
Okay, I totally read that as Death on the Line, not Nile and I began thinking of quotes from the Princess Bride. I've never read any of Agatha Christie either, but she is famous for her mysteries.
ReplyDeleteOoh, you haven't read this yet? It's one of my favourite Agatha Christies. Can't wait to hear what you think!
ReplyDeleteNow I want to read it! I've seen a lot of the Poirot mysteries on KPBS and I love them. Such a different world from today and I love that. Thanks Trisha:)
ReplyDeleteI've never read Agatha Christie either. I'm at least aware of the TV show though.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Agatha Christie, and though I've never read that particular one, I bet it's awesome. Awesome challenge theme. Great post and happy A-Z blogging.
ReplyDeleteYou're not planning on dying soon, are you? (Was worried at first!)
ReplyDeleteI've never read Agatha Christies either - what's UP with that? So I'm with you on the longing for some Mizz Christie but, TRISHA - you've never read CARRIE??????
Get thee to some King asap, girl!
And happy A to Z!
oooh! For real. I haven't read Agatha Christie either, and it is a definite MUST DO! This book sounds really interesting! I'm all about finding something new and awesome to read. Glad you shared!
ReplyDeleteYou have to read it! I actually HAD to read it in 10th grade for English, and I loved it. It's classic Agatha Christie.
ReplyDeleteHere from the A-Z Challenge - nice to "meet" you!
I'm actually reading the first Poirot book right now, the Mysterious Affair at Styles :) I'm really enjoying it and it's a fast read!
