It's been 2 years since I started this blog, and things sure have changed a lot since then. I've discovered an amazing community full of very giving, entertaining and enthusiastic writer blogger people, and I feel so very blessed to be part of this community. THANK YOU to everyone who has visited me here - I'm glad to know you!
Today I'm sharing details of a giveaway I'm hosting (see below), but first it's time for my Baby Faces post, in which I shall share with you some of my baby pics. Danette's post reminded me that I should probably include the requirements again, just as a last-minute reminder. So here they are:
What are the requirements?
- Between December 2nd and 3rd, post a pic of yourself as a baby, and/or;
- Tell us a story about when you were a baby (no doubt you can't quite remember it yourself, but you've probably heard some stories from other members of your family).
And now for my pictures! I think these were taken in a photo booth, and I know we were still living in the UK at the time. You can see my Dad's hands holding me up:
And my personal favourite...
I've always been a face puller, clearly even since babyhood. In recent years a friend told me she looks at these pics whenever she feels down, 'cause they make her laugh. ;) Okay, that's it for my baby faces post/story, but be sure to check out the other blogs participating in this hop (I can't wait to! I've seen that some of you have posted already, and I'll be there to check out your baby faces shortly!):
BOOK GIVEAWAY
I am not a great contest hoster, as most of you know already, but today I want to give something back for sure, so I am giving away these prizes:
- 1st prize - any 1 book from my selections below, or a book of your own choice, from the Book Depository (value = $10)
- 2nd prize - any eBook(s) written by one of our author friends who comments on this post (value = $5)
- 3rd prize - an ebook of your choice (value = $3).
All winners can also opt to receive a Christmas card from me via snail mail, if they are interested. :)
My book choices for first prize are:
- Dean Koontz's TWILIGHT EYES (my fave DK book and one of my fave books of all time. There should have been a sequel!!)
- Rachel Hawkins's HEX HALL (book #1 in a series, just FYI)
- Jesse Kellerman's THE BRUTAL ART
- John Marsden's TOMORROW, WHEN THE WAR BEGAN (again, book #1 in a - completely - epic series)
So, leave a comment below if you want to be in it to potentially win it, and I will draw winner(s) in a week.
In closing, thanks once again to all the folks who read my blog and especially to those who leave the occasional (or much more than occasional!) comment. I love that I've met you guys and I wouldn't have it any other way. ;)
Such cute baby pics! Congrats on your two years in the blogosphere I agree there are some wonderful people out there to connect with and their support is brilliant. Count me in on your giveaway please (if open to UK).
ReplyDeleteHere's to many more years of happy blogging :)

ReplyDeletethriftshopcommando.blogspot.com
These pictures are priceless. I love them.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary.
Congrats on the blogaversary. I've been doing my own blog since 2008, but this year I totally re-purposed it as a writing blog (it used to be a cat obituary and Doctor Who blog, mostly.)
ReplyDeleteIt's at http://linalamont.blogspot.com. And I'm glad to be able to participate in your blog hop to sort of relaunch my own blog and make some new bloggy friends.
It took me two years to find your blog and then I arrive just as there's a give away - great timing or what?
ReplyDeleteSeems you were a very expressive baby!
Cute pictures - you were very expressive! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 2 years! :) I've never read Hex Hall, but it looks pretty good.
Great way to celebrate your blogoversary! I'm in. It will be fun to see all of you before the stress of writing books.
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO - these baby pics are possibly the best baby pics I've seen to date. Oooh, use one as a book cover!!!!! :-D
ReplyDeleteSome Dark Romantic
I'm am STILL laughing about those baby pics. So, so cute. Congrats on the blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary! I love those pictures! Now maybe I'll have to look at them when I'm having a bad day. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I must have met you not too soon after you started your blog, now that I think about it. It's been a lovely two years!
ReplyDeleteGreat baby pics! They are priceless. Put me in mind of one I might have posted had I had the energy to dig them out. I wasn't an infant, but let's suffice it to say that I was making one of my classic mad faces.
Cheers my friend and here's to another two years of blog-friendliness! *clink, clink* (we're just imagining the drink we're toasting with of course. I have no booze today) Danette
Bugger I must have deleted my picture! Geez!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your two years Trisha. This is a great blogfest, and I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner.
ReplyDelete......dhole
I'm glad you thought up this blogfest. Such fun. I'm going to link to my post on my next Saturday post of my memoir blog Wrote By Rote. This is right up the alley of that blog.
ReplyDeleteThose faces you're making in your baby pics are priceless.

Wrote By Rote
You had the cutest little elf ears EVER.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2 years! :D
Gotta love those baby faces! I wonder what you were thinking at the time, lol. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI almost spaced on your blogfest, but I happened to see Kyra's post. I've written about a story (sorry, got no pics) and scheduled it for a bit later on (6pm UK time) because it clashed with a launch post I had scheduled. So I hope you'll come back! Thanks for the great giveaway. It's been great getting to know you and here's to two more years and many more to come!
Some awesome baby faces there. Don't know where any of my baby faces are, it's possible I was raised by wombats before emerging into society (actually that might have been preferable).
ReplyDeleteExcellent book selection too!
So cute! Love those pics! Thanks for fun blogfest! :D
ReplyDeleteI would love to know what your babyself was thinking when those pics were taken! They are priceless!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun bloghop, Trisha. Thanks for hosting!
ohmyGAWD you were cute! What hysterical faces!!! I don't think my parents ever had enough humor to try to document things like that. In fact I don't think they actually had a camera--pictures all seem to be taken by grandparents.
ReplyDeleteAnd an endorsement for Tomorrow When the War Began--that is a FABULOUS book! Though having read it (twice) I think I'd rather win one of the others.
Happy Blogiversary! Love your baby pictures! They do make me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteLove those photos, especially the last one. So cute!
Thanks for hosting such a fun blog hop :-)
Best baby faces ever!!! I must now dig out my own baby face photo of some variety and participate!
ReplyDeleteOh! I didn't know "Tomorrow When the War Began" was based on a book. Shame on me! I did see that they've made a sequel or are working on it. Don't remember. Would love to be in the drawing for that one.
ReplyDeleteLove those baby pics! I was very expressive, too. You look like you're beseeching your mom to save you. LOL!
Shannon at The Warrior Muse
Love the expressions!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the blogiversary! And great job on the Baby Face blog hop! It actually spared me a little dignity! LOL
I LOVE these baby pictures! I also wonder what your baby-self was thinking during these!
