This is also what I'm doing - trying to find homes for my foster bubbies. :) |
As for other stuff I'm doing? Ummm, I have to admit not much. I'm not really looking forward to this month's "Goals" post, because at the rate I'm going I won't have anything to report except ... nothing. :) I hope I can get some work done on editing before then, because right now I'm in a bit of a sorry state. I guess I'm preoccupied with foster kittens and cats that need visits to the vet and budgets that sort of blow out as a result. But it's nearly JUNE, people, and June is when BuNoWriMo begins. I really would like to have more editing done by June.
What am I listening to? Right now, this:
The Smashing Pumpkins are my favourite band of all time, but my favourite album is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, an epic double-disc of awesome. Obviously Siamese Dream is a work of legend, but to me it's not the absolute pinnacle. But right now I'm listening to "Hummer", track 4, and there are just not many songs in the universe better than that one.
Anyway ... I don't really have much else to say, so I'll end this here. I guess I just wanted to touch base and say hi. :)
Yeah, we're almost to June. I'm starting to feel like you - I'm not making progress on anything.
ReplyDeleteI hate how fast time goes by and how very little I seem to get done.
ReplyDeleteBut saving kittens and finding them homes...that's pretty awesome and worthy of the time spent.
I need to check out that series!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd holy… June? No, I'm not ready for this yet… time seriously speeds up more every year…
I love Smashing Pumpkins, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat band. Great album. Quite the dysfunctional family that band was, though...
ReplyDeleteI love the twist on the word melancholy...
ReplyDeleteI think that during the post-A to Z time frame (May/June)...bloggers often seem to be in a state of limbo...
I adore that album!! The Pumpkins always take me back to my college days. :)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself, "I'll get back to my manuscript after XX happens." Well, now it's Memorial Day. So, yeah, after Memorial Day life will return to normal. In theory. :)
ReplyDeleteTime is flying by. Nothing for WEP on Failure? Easy to forget stuff...D
ReplyDeleteGood luck Trisha with all things .. cheers Hilary
