Maple, a little girl up for adoption through our kitty rescue. :) |
It's December 22, not long before Christmas, and I don't really have much to say but I do have a rule about posting at least one blog post each week. So here I am to fill the quota. ;)
With that in mind, here are some random 'things':
- Check out the books I've read this year, HERE. (44 / 40)
- Here is my bandmate's album for digital purchase, which I sing most vocals on: The Falling Sound
- This is the Facebook page for the main kitty rescue I'm involved in
And now, holiday speak:
I'm on holidays as of Wednesday! I have so much to sort out in my home, so having a stay-cation is a very good thing. ;) And I just can't wait to have a break and relax.
Christmas will be the usual morning at the beach with champagne & orange, bagels with sour cream & smoked salmon, fruit skewers, and good company. I am also invited to my cousin's for Christmas dinner, at which point I'll enjoy a delicious chocolate Bailey's cocktail type thing. Yum.
How will be you spending your Christmas?
Hi Trisha .. sounds a good plan - similar to mine .. as you know we'll be having Star Gazey Pie .. without the heads, tails and bones - but always very good .. then on the day we gather at my brother's house and have a Christmas dinner - all dressed up ... a relaxed lunch, dog walk and presents and the Queen ...
ReplyDeleteHowever the beach sounds good .. but I think I still prefer my cold Christmas ... it's howling a gale here, but warm til later in the week! Cheers and enjoy - Hilary
I would prefer your cold Christmas as well! I'm not a summer person, that's for sure, though I was born in summer in the UK. But I guess that's not saying much. ha.
DeleteYour Christmas day sounds wonderful!
Have a wonderful Christmas! Now off to listen to you sing...
ReplyDeleteThat was really jamming!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :D My bandmate wrote those songs, though I did wrote the lyrics on one of them. Our first album was songs I wrote, under my band name.
DeleteAdorable kitty...good luck on her adoption! Christmas breakfast sounds yummy and peaceful, enjoy! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna :)
DeleteI hope you had a great Christmas too!
Enjoy your break. We stay home for Christmas and don't go traveling. Our Christmas present to ourselves. :) Have a very merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine!
DeleteIt's nice to not have to exhaust yourself by travelling over your vacation time, isn't it? ha.
per your last post - loving the pants it approach to goals in 2015 - i have some big things in mind and will work toward them, but no specifics - too many surprises come up!
ReplyDeleteand ditto on the stay-cation and posting once a week. yay for making the quota and sorting thru stuff for the holidays! merry christmas and a happy happy new year!!
Thanks, Tara - I have only done the bare minimum of sorting so far, but at least I managed to clean my house! ha. That was very much needed.
DeleteI have spent one Christmas in the southern hemisphere: '97 in Auckland, New Zealand. Quite a different experience.
ReplyDeleteYep, it is different isn't it! I very much enjoyed my 'different' Christmas over in B.C. ;)
